The Perfect Soccer Player Blueprint
I believe that you are all you need to get you where you want to go in soccer and life. But I also know that sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start. As you exercise Self-Honesty and realize that there is more you need to know and do to achieve your goals, finding correct and credible information becomes crucial.
We are so fortunate to live in a time where we have one of the most powerful tools for accessing information – the internet. Here at Perfect Soccer, we don’t believe money, or lack thereof, should be a barrier to accessing information, so we’ve gone and made our books free.
Why ‘The Perfect Soccer Player Blueprint’? A blueprint is a duplicatable plan for what we want to build or achieve. Of course, the goal is to become the ‘perfect soccer player.’ But, no one can ever really be ‘perfect’ because there is always a way for us to improve. If we set the goal of being ‘perfect,’ that is a goal we can forever chase!
Since a blueprint is a duplicatable plan, it makes sense that someone has already used the method and checked it to make sure it works well. In ‘The Perfect Soccer Player Blueprint,’ I share my experience with you, so you can learn from my mistakes without making them yourself.
Once you hit specific points along your soccer journey, you’ll have the information I definitely didn’t have when I was starting out!
Information, Knowledge, Experience, and Wisdom
You hear me talk a lot about information, knowledge, experience, and wisdom. So, what’s the difference?
At Perfect Soccer, we don’t tell you what we think; we tell you what we know. We speak from our experiences that we’ve had over time to tell you what worked for us, what didn’t, and what perspectives we’ve gained along the way.
Now, we can share our experiences with you, but those experiences are only information until you actually hear about them or read about them. Once you read or hear the information, it becomes knowledge.
I’ll let you in on a little secret; knowledge doesn’t mean anything. You can read a book on how to build a car, but that doesn’t mean you can correctly build a car. Applied knowledge, or taking action on the knowledge you do have, is how you gain experience and develop wisdom.
Experience is an analog thing. I know we live in the digital world, but analog is still essential for us. The real experience of how to do something, how to actually build the car is still necessary.
We assume that because we know something, that means we’ve experienced it, but now you know that knowledge and experience really are two separate things!
Over time, as you gain more and more experience, it turns into wisdom, because now you know that your experience is rooted in truth. Now I'm not saying that truth can’t change over time, but when you refer back to your experience, it has much more value than the knowledge you acquired.
